Adjunct Faculty- American Sign Language Instructor

The World Language Program in the School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences at Lasell University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach American Sign Language. We currently have 1 class open.ASL112 is the second level of Elementary Sign Language. It is a face-to-face course that has been scheduled Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:30 - 2:10.

Responsibilities and Duties:

•Develop a syllabus and course outline for students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
•Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the University's philosophy of connected learning.
•Maintain office hours each week.
•Incorporate Canvas (online learning platform) into the course.
•Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.
•Collaborate with other language instructors to determine appropriate leveling and pre-requisite work

Qualifications:
Experience teaching American Sign Language, as well as a master's degree or ABD in a related field are required. A willingness to incorporate the University's Connected Learning Philosophy into the course is also important.
