Adjunct Faculty - Criminal Justice

The Justice Studies Program in the School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences at Lasell College is seeking someone to teach the following classes:

Introduction to Criminal Justice Tues/Thur 11 - 12:15
Terrorism Tues/Thur 8 - 9:15
Probation, Parole & Other Sanctions Tues/Thur 9:30 - 10:45

Note: These are face-to-face, on campus classes only and the times cannot be changed.

There is a possibility that there may be some openings for online, graduate level classes in Criminal Justice Leadership & Management; Risk Management & Planning; and/or Transnational Crime.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.
• Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
• Align some course assignments with departmental and college core curriculum goals learning goals and provide student work samples for college assessment purposes (sample assignments available)
• Maintain office hours each week.
• Incorporate Canvas (online learning platform) into the course.
• Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.

Qualifications:
A willingness to incorporate the college's Connected Learning Philosophy into the course as well as a master's degree in a related field are required (doctoral degree preferred). Career-relevant experience in policing, security, risk management, and/or government is a plus.
