36% of Lasell employees participated in the Walking Challenge, taking over 33 million steps, which equated to almost 16,000 miles.  Employees formed teams across departments, walked together on- and off-campus, and became motivated to walk after the challenge.  Testimonials from employees include:

Walking Challenge

Lasell College and edHEALTH are proud to invite you to take part in a Walking Challenge for all employees, with 12 other area colleges. Join the fun and get a free Fitbit.

The goal of the challenge will be an average of 10,000 steps per day, seven days a week, for one month. The challenge will run from July 11 through August 8. Registration opens June 27 and ends July 18.

 

Important Dates

  • Registration: June 27 - July 18
  • Launch Party: July 10, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Science & Technology Center quad and foyer
  • Challenge: July 11 - August 8
  • Celebration Party: August 21, 12 - 1:30 p.m., Dunne House

Prizes

  • Everyone who meets the weekly step challenge of an average of 10,000 steps per day will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes each week.
  • Teams will be entered to win a price for the best team name.
  • The Lasell College grand prize is a bike of your choice (up to a $2,000 value).

Participate as an Individual or Form a Team

Employees can compete individually or as a team. 

Each member of a team tracks their steps individually, but team members can work together to walk together and help each other boost their step count.  Teams will be entered for a chance to win a price for best team name.

edHEALTH is the employee health insurance collaboration Lasell College joined to harness our power in numbers, to successfully offer quality healthcare at lower costs.
