There are four awards, which will be given each year. All nominees must be active at the time of the award event to be eligible
Champion of Collaboration Award
This is given to an individual or team who has excelled in the use of collaboration to meet a goal or objective. The nomination will detail how collaboration was utilized and why it was effective in achieving success.
Early Distinction Award
This acknowledges the exceptional work of two individuals who have been employed at Lasell University for less than 3 years. This Award recognizes and encourages innovation in thinking, evidenced by work success, and excellence in customer service.
The Torchlight Award
This is for the embodiment of the Lasell values - provided to an individual or team who reflect these values in their work; integrity, honesty, ethical decision making, social responsibility, mutual respect and kindness. The nomination should provide specific information about values reflected in the work and the success that resulted.
*NEW Starting in 2020* The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award
This award recognizes individuals or groups within Lasell who demonstrate a significant commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. The following criteria should be considered when making a recommendation, which includes current University employees.
- Facilitates opportunities to bring people together from different backgrounds both on and off campus.
- Demonstrates a high level of commitment to diversity in service, teaching, and scholarship.
- Demonstrates the use of scholarly and/or creative work to enhance the success of students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds.
- Doing your job responsibilities with a lens to a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Seeks out professional development opportunities for themselves and/or others to enhance their partnership in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at Lasell.
