Lasell is proud of its numerous partnerships with community organizations which include: The Second Step, the Lincoln-Eliot School, Birthday Wishes, Auburndale Community Library, Newton Girl Scouts, Newton/San Juan Del Sure Sister City Project, Newton Childcare Commission, Waltham Community Day Center, Discovering What’s Next, CAN-DO, The Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce, Green Decade, the Middlesex Partnerships for Youth, Newton Food Drive, Newton Cultural Affairs, The Newton Festival of the Arts, the Lasell Neighborhood Council, and The Lasell Neighborhood Association.

Past Community Events

Lasell partnered with the city of Newton for the Mayor’s annual city-wide food drive in December 2014 to kick start a year of giving in the community. Faculty, staff and neighbors made donations at the Lasell drop off location and the Student Government Association collected canned goods at their Midnight Breakfast event.

In April 2011, eight students from the Advanced Special Event Management class helped plan Newton’s Heartbreak Hill Youth Race, the annual event ahead of the Boston Marathon. The students helped plan several children's activities which included face painting, temporary tattoos, and spray hair dye. They also secured prizes for raffles from local area vendors.
