COVID-19 Information

Fall Campus Guidelines

The following guidelines will be in effect as we begin the Fall semester. These guidelines are subject to change; we all need to remain flexible while we observe how the coronavirus progresses. As we have done throughout this pandemic, we will continue to follow the data and the science and adjust accordingly. All our decisions have been made with the safety of our community at the forefront and in consultation with state and local health authorities.

COVID-19 Dashboard

Masks

  • For all vaccinated members of our community (students, faculty, and staff), masks will be optional both inside and outdoors. We support people who wish to continue wearing masks both indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status.
  • For unvaccinated members of our community (students, faculty, and staff), masks will be expected inside all University buildings when not in your room or personal office. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions. Masks will be optional when outdoors.
  • Mask will be required for all students, faculty, and staff while in class, regardless of vaccination status.
  • All visitors and guests, regardless of vaccination status, will be expected to wear a mask inside all University buildings. Masks will be optional when outdoors.

Testing

  • All members of our community with an approved vaccine exemption are required to test once per week.
  • All athletes will be required to test twice each week.
  • All members of our community who wish to be tested are welcome and encouraged to test at the testing center on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Quarantine and Isolation

  • All vaccinated or unvaccinated students who test positive for COVID-19 will be asked to isolate at home or in designated campus housing.
  • All unvaccinated students who are deemed a close contact will be asked to quarantine at home or in designated campus housing.
  • Vaccinated students who are a close contact and are not showing symptoms will not be required to quarantine but may be asked to take an extra Covid test.

Guidance for Guests and Visitors

  • As a reminder, all visitors and guests regardless of vaccination status will be expected to wear a mask inside all University buildings. Masks will be optional when outdoors.

As this pandemic continues to change and evolve, so too will our guidelines, as we work to keep our community safe.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

After consulting with health and medical officials and with the University’s goal to open fully in the Fall and provide a safe campus for our community, we have decided to require the COVID-19 vaccine for everyone on campus – students, employees, and our valued partners. Learn more about the vaccination requirement.
