Join the International Welcome Committee

What is the International Welcome Committee?

The International Welcome Committee is comprised of returning Lasell students who are dedicated to welcoming new international students at Lasell as friends and mentors. Returning students selected to be part of the International Welcome Committee will be paired together and placed with two or three new international students. These small groups of 4-5 students will meet at the Kick Off BBQ at the beginning of each semester and continue to coordinate fun activities and excursions together throughout the semester. Groups will be matched primarily by similar majors and interests listed on the application.

Returning students interested in being involved in the International Welcome Committee should review the responsibilities and expectations below, then submit an application. The applications will be reviewed by the Student Coordinators and the Office of International Services' staff. Students chosen to be International Welcome Committee members will receive a program handbook and sign a commitment at the beginning of the semester. Applications will continue to be reviewed during the semester and summer.
