Career Assistant

What is it?
Career Assistant are students who are knowledgeable about career development information and work with the professional staff in the Office of Career Services to provide education and service to members of the Lasell College student body. Career Assistants will receive specialized education and training in the preparation of resumes, cover letters, job search strategies, and career planning techniques, as well as beneficial transferable skills

Who is eligible?
Sophomore and Junior students are preferred. They must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

What would I do, exactly?

  • Learn how to give general feedback of resumes and cover letters to students, create flyers and promotional items or job posting and/or events
  • Assist in campus outreach about social media pages and the services provided by the Office of Career Services
  • Assist with workshops and programs around campus

What will I learn?
Resume and cover letter basics, communication skills, public speaking skills, promotional and advertisement design, and more!
