Parent & Family Information

At Lasell, our hope is that your student takes their opportunity to live on campus as one to build meaningful friendships, have fun, and socially develop. We believe it is important to form an alliance with parents and guardians in order to help support their students' navigation of exciting and challenging experiences they will face as a resident student.

Visiting Campus

Many families choose to visit their student throughout the course of the academic year. By reviewing the guest policy below, you will be better prepared when you come to campus. Make plans with your student prior to visiting campus and discuss the date and time of your visit and where you will meet. This will reduce any miscommunication and give your student an opportunity to share you planned arrival with roommates.

  • Students and their guests may not bring pets into the building for any amount of time or for any reason. The only exception to this policy is to allow guide dogs for visually- or hearing-impaired individuals.
  • Guests may be in the residence halls at any hour during the day and evening. Guests are allowed to stay for a maximum of three nights in a seven-day period (between Monday and Sunday) and no more than three consecutive nights. A guest is considered to have stayed "overnight" if s/he is present in the room anytime between the hours of 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
  • Parking for guests of Lasell University students is only available on campus between Friday at 5:00 PM and Sunday at 5:00 PM. Cars must be registered with the Lasell University Police Department in the Office of Public Safety. Between those hours, registered cars may park in any Faculty/Staff or Commuter Student parking spaces on campus.
