Fall 2022 Campus Guidelines
Our current COVID guidelines are as follows:
Masks
Lasell University will be a mask optional campus except for the Health Services Office and the Counseling Center where masks are currently mandated by Massachusetts law. As always, we have followed the science and the data clearly indicates that wearing an appropriately fitted mask is helpful in protecting the wearer. Lasell strongly supports those who choose to wear a mask and we ask that you respect people’s wishes as such.
Testing
To begin the semester, we will not offer COVID-19 surveillance or mandatory PCR testing. Rapid testing will be available in Health Services for students that are symptomatic or in close contact to a positive case and we ask that students wear a mask and avoid being with others if they are feeling ill. Similarly, we ask that faculty and staff members stay home and contact their primary care provider should they start to present symptoms or feel sick.
Positive Cases
Our policy for positive cases remains unchanged. Any member of our community who tests positive should isolate for a minimum of five days and a maximum of ten days. Community members can test out of isolation after five days if asymptomatic and must wear a mask for the next five days. If one tests positive after five days, we ask that they retest at day seven. Lasell will provide isolation housing for students who are unable to isolate at home or off-campus. Lasell has limited isolation housing and encourages students, if possible, to isolate at home or off-campus.
Vaccination/Status
Our current policy for vaccination remains in place. We are requiring all students, faculty, and staff to be fully vaccinated with either two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson. We also require one booster shot.
