Four-Year Plan

Career Development is a process in which you should actively participate throughout your college career, and begins as soon as you arrive to campus!

First Year - Acclimate & Engage

  • Attend a FRESHstart meeting and learn about how Career Services can help you!
  • Create an account in Handshake.
  • Get involved in clubs and organizations.
  • Create a resume.

Sophomore Year - Assess & Explore

  • Meet with Career Services and discuss major and career goals.
  • Conduct job shadows and informational interviews.
  • Look for and immerse yourself in leadership opportunities.
  • Update your resume.

Junior Year  - Focus & Experience

  • Meet with a career counselor and narrow career objectives.
  • Obtain and complete internships.
  • Network and build your LinkedIn profile.
  • Update your resume.

Senior Year - Implement & Transition

  • Discuss your career objectives and plans with a career counselor.
  • Create a plan to transition into the working world and life after Lasell.
  • Conduct mock interviews.
  • Refine your resume and portfolio.
  • Attend career fairs and recruiting events.
