Lasell Works: Year by Year

Students not only benefit from the added learning experience but tuition costs go down each of the student's four years, a potential four year savings of $22,000 to $38,000.

Year One:
Commuter Cost: $37,000 minus financial aid
Resident Cost: $37,000 plus Room and Board minus financial aid

During Year One of the Lasell Works program, students get to know their fellow classmates as well as their professors, attend in-person classes, and become part of the welcoming Lasell community.

  • Students live on or off campus and take their major courses.
  • In the fall, students take the Lasell Works First Year Seminar, a signature foundational experience, which engages students in an academic topic related to the world of work.
  • In the spring, students take the Strategic Learning & Career Connections seminar, which provides them with the skills and tools they'll need for their sophomore year when they'll take classes online, work in a professional field of their choice, and live off campus.
  • Throughout the year, students will collaborate with the Office of Lasell Works and the Career Development Center to plan and prepare for their sophomore year.

Year Two:
Cost: $33,000 minus financial aid (no Room and Board charge, students live off campus)

Year Two of the Lasell Works program, also known as the Sophomore Year Experience, is what sets the Lasell Works program apart from other undergraduate programs. Students get to put their career development skills to work as they embark on a year-long employment experience, live off campus, and take classes online - all while maintaining access to all campus resources and facilities.

  • Students live off campus in housing of their choice.
  • Professional skills and a resume are developed through a student's year-long professional work experience.
  • Fall and Spring semester coursework is completed online, including two seminars: Professional Development and Leadership and Professional Success.
  • Students maintain access to all campus resources and facilities.

Year Three:
Commuter Cost: $29,000 minus financial aid
Resident Cost: $29,000 plus Room and Board minus financial aid

In Year Three of the Lasell Works program, students return to campus to live (or continue to commute) and continue in their studies.

  • Students participate in the Lasell Works Leadership Development seminar.
  • Residential students return to campus housing.
  • Students take part in an internship experience.
  • Some students may opt for study abroad.
  • In the Fall and Spring semesters, students continue their academic courses.

Year Four:
Commuter Cost: $27,000 minus financial aid
Resident Cost: $27,000 plus Room and Board minus financial aid

During Year Four of the Lasell Works program, students complete coursework and prepare to graduate and enter the work force or continue their education with post-graduate plans.

  • Students complete remaining course requirements.
  • Students participate in the Financial Literacy seminar.
  • Students are provided with personalized guidance and support with the job search or with post-graduate educational plans.
