Admission Checklist

In addition to the application for admission and applicable fees, first year applicants should have their secondary school forward the following to the Office of Undergraduate Admission:

  • High School transcript (including 1st marking period senior year grades)
  • Personal statement or essay on a topic of your choice (250 word minimum)
  • 2 letters or forms of recommendation (one must be academic)
  • Lasell University is Test-Optional. Students who believe standardized tests support their candidacy are encouraged to submit their scores (CEEB code: 3481)
    Students applying to Athletic Training or Education are required to submit SAT/ACT scores

Candidates to the freshman class are expected to complete a college preparatory program of an approved secondary school satisfying the following Carnegie Units:

4 Units of English
3 Units of Mathematics, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry (4 recommended)
2 Units of Laboratory Science (3 recommended)
2 Units of Social Science (3 recommended)
2 Units of Foreign Language recommended

Academic Program Specific Admission Requirements:

Admission to all academic programs at Lasell University is competitive. With more applications than admission slots, the University may restrict enrollment into certain academic programs.  Applicants to Lasell University's Athletic Training Major must successfully complete all required Carnegie Units with a minimum two units of Laboratory Science (preferably Biology and Chemistry, or Physics), a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale), and a minimum combined NEW SAT I score of 1080 (Evidence-based Reading and Writing and Math).  Both first year and transfer applicants who are admitted into the Athletic Training program enter directly into the major; there is no secondary selection process. Applicants to Athletic Training program are encouraged to complete the application process by January 15th for fall (September) consideration.

Lasell will also consider applicants who have successfully fulfilled the requirements for a secondary school diploma.
