Thanksgiving Recess — Leaving and Returning to Campus and Classes

Lasell’s Thanksgiving Recess is Wednesday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Nov. 29. Classes resume on Monday, Nov. 30 in an all-online format (unless students have been advised otherwise by a faculty member). While students are allowed to return home for the holiday, they are asked to follow the same COVID-19 protocols they’ve been following so well on campus.

  • Nov. 16-22: In the week before leaving Lasell, students are encouraged to limit the number of people with whom they have contact.

  • Nov. 23-27: During Thanksgiving week, students should plan to get their COVID-19 test on Monday, Nov. 23 or Tuesday, Nov. 25.

  • Nov. 29: Upon returning to campus, resident students may return to their rooms but must restrict contact with others until they receive a negative test result.  The testing center in the Edwards Student Center will be open and operating on Sunday, November 29, from 4-8 p.m. (appointments are not necessary; walks-ins are welcome); and will resume normal operating hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.

  • Nov. 30-Dec. 6: Classes, all held online, resume Monday, Nov. 30. In-person classes resume on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Before attending in-person classes, students must have a COVID-19 test and receive a negative result.

To be assured of being cleared for in-person classes on Tuesday, students should plan to do a walk-in COVID-19 test on Sunday, Nov. 29, or schedule their test by noon on Monday.
