Biography:
Prior to joining the faculty at Lasell University, Dr. Niestepski was a post doctorate teaching fellow at Northeastern University. She is a co-author of "Hey Did You Get That?: L2 Student Reading Across the Curriculum" which was published in WAC and Second-Language Writers: Research Towards Linguistically and Culturally Inclusive Programs and Practices. Her most recent conference presentations include "Game Changer: Strategies for Incorporating Technological Literacy into First-Year Writing" at the UConn Conference on the Teaching of Writing in April 2019; "The Writing Program as a Site for an "Antiracist Agenda" at the Conference on College Composition and Communication in March 2019; and "Creating and Using Real-time Assessment in a First-Year Writing Program" at the New England Educational Assessment Network Fall Forum in November 2018.

“I want students to come away from my writing classes understanding the importance of writing and feeling confident in their ability to handle the various writing situations they will find themselves in, both in other classes and in the workplace.”
