What was one of your most meaningful experiences?
One of my most meaningful experiences abroad was spending a day by myself exploring my local community. I learned to be self-sufficient by myself but also happy. During this day of exploring the local community surrounding my abroad campus, I learned that I don't need anyone else to make me happy except myself. I was extremely content traveling around the Gold Coast suburbs of Australia by myself looking at what the world has to offer. I have taken this realization back home in the United States and applied it in my everyday life.

Why should Lasell students study abroad?
Lasell students should study abroad because it gives them a chance to see what else the world has to offer. It allows students to experience other cultures while also learning more about themselves. Being abroad encourages students to really take a deeper look into themselves and learn a lot about who they really are, as well as learn about other lives and cultures that are in this world. It opens students' eyes into seeing how amazing this world is.

What is your number one piece of advice for students studying abroad?
My number one piece of advice for students studying abroad is to have an open mind. Every person and every experience they encounter can open up their mind to a whole new world of possibilities that they couldn't even imagine if they weren't abroad.

What is a typical day in the life when studying abroad?
A typical day in the life while studying abroad in Gold Coast, Australia for me would be a very relaxing one. I would wake up and grab a coffee from the many coffee shops located around campus. Next, I would go to the beach and soak up the sun for a little bit before class. I would head back to campus for class and lunch. Once it was the evening, my friends and I would head to the local brew house for half priced wings. Lastly, we would head back to campus and either watch a movie or take a nice scenic walk around Bond.
