Last Day in Belfast!

Our last day in Belfast! It's hard to believe the week is just about over. We were eager to make the most of our last day. We started the day with a Black Taxi Tour of Belfast. This three-hour taxi tour around the city included stops at the International Peace Wall, the cities famous murals, continuous commentary by the taxi driver about the "Troubles" of Northern Ireland and a deeper dive into the country's rich history.

Our tour took us to Belfast Castle- so beautiful! Stormont Castle, home to the Northern Ireland Executive and the Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister and the gated communities that separate the Catholics from the Protestants. It was amazing and somewhat overwhelming.

After our tour, we were dropped off at Victoria Square near City Centre where we had one last chance to go shopping, take in the site, and immerse ourselves in Northern Ireland society. Words can't begin to describe how wonderful this trip has been. Can't wait to get home and share our pictures with friends, family, and the Lasell community.
