Study Abroad Application - Semester or Year

Students must submit their study abroad application in the semester before they intend to study abroad. Students should select one of the approved study abroad programs and submit one application.

Study abroad applications are only reviewed once the Office of International Education has receive a completed online study abroad application form including course selections and advisor approval. Students should expect to receive a decision approximately one to two weeks after the deadline.

All study abroad applicants are required to meet with a staff member in the Office of International Education prior to or during the application process. To make an appointment, students may set up an appointment on Starfish or email

The deadlines for completed study abroad applications are:
Spring Semester - September 27th
Fall Semester - February 28
Summer - February 28

Students must have a cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 or higher and be in good academic and disciplinary standing. If a student falls out of good academic or disciplinary standing at any time prior to going abroad, they will no longer be permitted to study abroad. Students are encouraged to study abroad during the fall of their junior year. Please note that many of our approved programs have a GPA requirement that is higher than 2.5, and this should be taken into account when selecting a program. Students are not permitted to study abroad during their first year or final semester at Lasell.
