The Secondary Education Licensure (grades 5-12) and History majors at Lasell have a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
- The Secondary Education Licensure (grades 5-12) and History majors provide a specialization in history while preparing graduates to teach in secondary classrooms in grades five through twelve.
- Students prepare for and take the MTEL exams for initial licensure.
- From their first semester at Lasell, students begin their classroom experience and build their resumes.
- The Education degree program has a Fifth Year option, which allows students to graduate with a Master on Education and the fifth year feels seamless.
- Lasell's School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences has degree programs in Criminal Justice, Education, English, Global Studies, History, Law & Public Affairs, Legal Studies, Psychology, and Sociology.
