Elementary Education Licensure (grades 1-6)
The Elementary Education Licensure (grades 1-6) major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
- With the Elementary Education Licensure (grades 1-6) major, students explore major genres of literature, topics in mathematics and science, and various periods in world and American history, as well as instructional strategies appropriate for elementary learners, grades one through six.
- Students prepare for and take the MTEL exams for initial licensure.
- From their first semester at Lasell, students begin their classroom experience and build their resumes.
- The Education degree program has a Fifth Year option, which allows students to graduate with a Master on Education and the fifth year feels seamless.
- Lasell's School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences has degree programs in Criminal Justice, Education, English, Global Studies, History, Law & Public Affairs, Legal Studies, Psychology, and Sociology.
