Biography:
Professor Laura Commins began her undergraduate studies in 2008 as a non-traditional student, after raising three children. In 2012, she received a B.A. in history from Lasell University . Laura went on to complete an M.A. in history at Brandeis University, and in 2013, she returned to the Humanities Department at Lasell as a lecturer in history. In Fall 2014, she entered a Ph.D. program in history with a concentration in American history at the University of New Hampshire. New courses she has introduced at Lasell include Nineteenth-Century New York, Native American History, and The Power of Place: Concord, Massachusetts. Laura has been involved extensively in educational museum work.
