Access Services

Brennan Library

The Lasell "Torch Card" is also your library card for the Brennan Library and all the other Minuteman Libraries. All students must have a valid student ID in order to check out materials. Patrons need a library card number (2301500_ _ _ _ _ _ _ ) to access many of our online databases and to request materials online from other libraries.

If you are a member of the Lasell community (including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and Lasell Village residents), and do not yet have a valid library card, fill out the Patron registration form and we will enter you into our system.

  • Curriculum Library materials- 1 week
  • Magazines, newspapers, journal issues- library use only

In order to make sure there are sufficient materials available for our students, we have established the following circulation policies:

  • A patron may borrow up to 5 items on any one subject at a time.
  • A patron may borrow a total of 10 items per day.
  • Minuteman patrons are limited to 5 DVD check-outs per day.

If a student has more than $10 in outstanding fines or overdue materials in the Minuteman Library Network, their borrowing privileges are suspended until their record is cleared. Neither transcripts nor grades will be given to students who have not cleared up their library record, and they will not be allowed to register for classes for the next semester

Patrons may resolve fines by paying via My Account on the Minuteman Library Network website, or in person at the Brennan Library paying by cash or check. Payment for the replacement of lost or damaged books belonging to other libraries must be made via the Minuteman Library Network website or arranged directly with the owning library.
