Biography:
Heather has enjoyed working in higher education since her own experiences as a college student. As an undergraduate student at Curry College, Heather worked in the admissions office as an Office Assistant and tour guide, served as a First Year Seminar Peer Mentor, was a Teacher Assistant for the psychology department, and tutored undergraduate psychology students. Her favorite position as an undergraduate student was working as a Peer Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Office. She graduated from Curry College in 2014 and went on to earn her Master's Degree from Bridgewater State University. While pursuing her Master's Degree, Heather worked for the Academic Achievement Center at BSU as an Academic Counselor, was a graduate student intern at Wheaton College working as an Academic Coach, and after graduating, she worked as a temporary hire in the Transfer Central office at BSU welcoming prospective and incoming transfer students. Heather began working at Lasell College in October of 2016.   

Tell us a little bit about yourself:   
Heather is originally from Massachusetts, and enjoys playing tennis and cheering on her favorite team, the New England Patriots in her spare time. 

How does your professional background influence your time with students?
Having worked in a number of varying positions related to academic and student success, Heather has worked with students from varying backgrounds who possess many different strengths. Working with students who are interested in different majors and careers, and learning from students who come from around the world to pursue their education has provided Heather with the opportunity to grow in her abilities to guide students effectively and holistically.
