Types of Financial Aid

Our Undergraduate financial aid offer is a combination of need-based grants from federal, state, and institutional resources; academic based awards; and self-help aid such as loans and Federal Work-Study. A holistic approach determines the awards offered at the time of admission and the FAFSA determines need based aid.

  • Scholarships & Grants: Scholarships and grants are gift aid available from Lasell and state and federal government. Determination is based on a holistic review the time of admissions, plus any need based aid determined by the FAFSA.
  • Loans: Low-interest loans are offered through the Federal Direct Loan Program.
  • Student Employment: Gain skills and earn money through on-campus jobs funded through Work-Study and Lasell.
  • Veterans Benefits: Qualified veterans and their families may be eligible for reduced tuition.

Based on the information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) the Office of Financial Aid will determine your financial need and meet as much of that need as possible with a combination of Lasell, federal, and state funding from both grants and loans, and with Federal Work-Study.

Remember to complete the FAFSA with the Lasell FAFSA Code 002158
