The Office of Financial Aid works with incoming and current students to help navigate the process of applying for financial aid. Whether it is aid from federal, state, or institutional resources, our experienced staff is here to assist you in identifying and securing the aid for which you are eligible.

Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Lasell University!

Once your acceptance has been received by the Financial Aid Office, our team will individually review each new student’s eligibility for financial aid. This process can take up to 2 weeks.

At this time we are waiting on Federal Student Aid (FSA) to release FAFSA applications to Lasell. The estimated time line is currently March for schools to receive the applications. As soon as we have FAFSA's Lasell's offer letters will be mailed.  

New students can expect an offer in the mail, so ensure your address provided is correct. Delivery estimates may vary depending on your local mail provider.

Complete the FAFSA for a Financial Aid Offer

By completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will be automatically considered for all forms of need-based financial aid offered by Lasell and the federal and state government. Lasell University FASFA Code: 002158.

Lasell’s Priority Deadline is March 31. If your FAFSA is received after this date, your eligibility for some federal or state aid programs may be limited or rejected.

Students and families can expect major changes when filing the 2024-2025 FAFSA, and can expect to see expanded eligibility for federal student aid and a more streamlined application process.

The new launch date will apply only for the 2024–25 FAFSA form.

To maximize your eligibility for aid, be sure to apply by the appropriate deadline for your state of residence. For Massachusetts residents, the FAFSA should be completed and submitted no later than May 1 in order to be considered for Mass Grant funding.

The U.S. Department of Education's office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) has recently unveiled the release of the revised Federal Student Aid Estimator. The estimator is designed to assist students and their families get an idea of their new Student Aid Index (SAI) and see an estimated federal financial aid eligibility calculation.

By answering a series of straightforward questions related to federal student aid eligibility and their financial circumstances, users can receive estimated award amounts for Pell grants, Direct Loans, and Federal Work-Study funds. To receive any aid, students must complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA® form and meet all eligibility criteria.

The Net Price Calculator provides an estimated financial aid offer. Students are required to file a FAFSA prior to enrolling if filing for financial aid. The Net Price Calculator uses 2021 federal tax information and will get an estimate of your net price — the real price you will pay at Lasell University. Lasell University Awards

  • Lasell University Awards are given to incoming students based on a holistic review of each student’s application, including academic performance.
  • Any additional scholarships, early action award, or need-based aid will also be included in the Lasell University offer based on eligibility requirements or the results from the FAFSA application.
  • Awards will be mailed out in March as soon as Lasell receives FAFSAs and will continue on a rolling basis.
  • All domestic students are reviewed for Lasell University Awards.
