Student Health Insurance Plan
Lasell College is pleased to announce that for the 2016-17 Academic Year we have partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts and University Health Plans to provide health insurance coverage for our students. All students enrolled in at least 9 qualifying credits are required by Massachusetts State law to enroll in the Student Health Insurance or be covered by a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. To ensure compliance with Massachusetts law, students who are registered for 9 or more credit hours are automatically billed for the Student Health Plan. To read the details on this law, click here.
All undergraduate international students at Lasell College are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance and do not need to take any action. Please contact University Health Plans at (800) 437-6448 if you are covered by a US employee health insurance plan that meets healthcare reform standards and is comparable to the Student Health Insurance Plan.
Graduate Students: Students must be enrolled in 9 or more qualifying credits to be considered eligible for the Lasell College Student Health Insurance. Courses that meet strictly online and courses that meet less than 15 days a semester on campus are not included in the calculation of qualified credits. Graduate students will be charged at the beginning of the session in which they are considered full time. Students should monitor their Student Account Center (SAC) and their Lasell College email account for updates and information.
