Important Financial Aid Dates for Returning Students 2013-14
April 15, 2013 Recommended deadline for Massachusetts Residents to mail FAFSA to ensure consideration for MA State Grants. Other states will have other deadlines; refer to FAFSA instructions.
April 23, 3Application Reciept Deadline for FAFSA.
For your application to be considered complete, you must include copies of 2012 Federal Tax Return Transcript (for student and parent), copies of all student and parent W-2 forms if selected for verification on the FAFSA. Student Financial Planning will ask for this information if required.
End of May 2013 Financial Aid Awards begin being mailed to on-time applicants
Parents should begin applying for PLUS or alternative loans via pre-approval process - see enclosed instructions.
June 2013 Applicants notified of missing information/forms still outstanding.
Application data received after June 1st may result in a 5% decrease in Lasell College funding.
July 18, 2013 Deadline for all other paperwork (loan applications, award acceptance letter, and other documents as requested)
All alternative loan (MEFA, PLUS, etc.) application forms completed by this date will be processed for the Fall 2013 bill. Alternative loan applications completed after this date may not result in a credit to your bill until disbursement is received.
Application data received after July 1st may result in a 10% overall decrease in Lasell College funding.
