New Student Orientation Programs

We are excited that you have decided to join our community. We have four different Orientation programs here at Lasell College: Laser Link and Navigating Lasell and Boston for first year students planning to start in the fall, Transfer Orientation in August for transfer students planning to start in the fall, and Winter Orientation for those students planning to start in January.  Please refer to the program description that is designed for you.

Laser Link, our June program, is a two-day overnight program that introduces students to Lasell and all the resources available to help you be successful. Students attending this program will meet many of their classmates, members of the faculty and staff, learn about meal plans, housing options and select courses for the fall. In 2010, we will offer four summer sessions: June 14 & 15,
June 17 & 18, June 21 & 22, and June 24 & 25. New Students will receive additional information in the Welcome Packet which is mailed to all deposited students around May 1, 2010.

Navigating Lasell and Boston (NLB) is the second portion of our Orientation program for new students.  This four-day program takes place just before classes start in September. As the name implies, you will learn how to navigate the Lasell campus as well as the great city of Boston. Part of this program is focused on adjusting to your new community, learning where your classes will take place, meeting with faculty members and discussing your summer reading. You will also have the opportunity to explore Boston with faculty and staff members and/or join the first year class on an evening cruise of Boston Harbor. In 2010 NLB will take place September 3-6 .  Students will learn more about NLB during Laser Link and registration information will be available in mid August.

Transfer Orientation, for those students transferring into Lasell College, will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010.  Transfer students will receive additional information regarding how to register and prepare for this program.

Winter Orientation will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Additional information about Winter Orientation will be available in November.
