The MSC program is 12 courses (36 credits), built around a seven-course core curriculum that provides a solid foundation in communication. You'll then choose one of three concentrations, based on your interest and goals.

Public Relations concentration covers theory, legal and ethical issues. and develops the analytic and creative know-how you'll need to excel in the profession. Each course addresses the explosion of lnternet-enabled networked communications that's forcing corporations to change the way they communicate with their many internal and external publics.

Integrated Marketing Communications concentration combines promotion and interpersonal comunication into a coordinated program of total communication approaches. You'll learn how to help organizations build brand value through strategic communication with target audiences, including advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing, events sponsorship and the Internet.

Health Communication focuses on communicating health-related messages, campaigns, and the overall branding of health services. You will achieve a sound understanding of the health communication environment as well as the skill-set to pursue a career in bio-tech corporations, hospitals, health-related non-profit organizations and consultant practices.
