"Test Your Big Idea" Start Up Grant Competition

The founders of lean start-ups don't begin with a business plan; they begin with the search for a business model.   

During this search, Founders translate company ideas into business model hypotheses, test assumptions about customers needs / problems / pain points.

Awards:

  • Lasell Small Business Institute will support 2 to 3 selected "test grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 to Undergraduate students​​
  • Faculty Advisor: Each selected entrepreneurial team will have a Lasell faculty Advisor during the search for a business model.

  • Business Planning
  • High Speed Internet Access  
  • Peer-to-peer Networking  
  • 3 months Mentoring & Coaching

Schedule:

Application Submission Thursday: November 17, 2016 - Due at midnight
Business Pitch Monday: November 21, 2016 - Common Hours: Selected will present a 10 minute business pitch of their business idea and/or project to a selection committee
Winners announced Tuesday: November 22, 2016
50% Payment Sequence: 50% of the award will be granted on selection of the winner in November. Balance of the award will be paid after a review of expenses and receipts of the initial grant.
