TV News Anchor Visits Rockwell for Read Across America Day

March 02, 2015

On Monday, March 2, Boston's Channel 7 News anchor Christa Delcamp visited Lasell College's Holway Child Study Center at Rockwell to participate in Read Across America Day festivities - including reading There's No Place Like Space to preschoolers.

The National Education Association's Read Across America Day is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.

School administrators plan to celebrate Read Across America Day all week long with special reader visits from Lasell Education professors and the College's Vice President for Academic Affairs Jim Ostrow.

The Holway Child Study Center at Rockwell, located on the Lasell College campus in Newton, includes a class of three-year-olds, four-year olds, and a transition kindergarten class. The school is in session from September through May.
