Lasell Students Begin Amazon Trip

May 16, 2012

Professors Missy Van Hyfte and Dana Janbek are leading a group of students on the College's second annual service learning experience in the Amazon region of Brazil this week. Students will explore the Amazon rain forest in Brazil through the eyes of both eco-tourists and tourism professionals. Six students were selected last fall to participate in the trip to Brazil that is part of Lasell's International Service Learning Initiative (also known as the Shoulder to Shoulder program). This particular trip is part of a three credit course that students took throughout the spring semester.

The students and professors will blog about the trip this week.

President Alexander Responds to the Tragedy in Orlando  Thursday, June 16, 2016We the people of the United States cherish our freedoms. Whether it be the freedom to say what we want, to assemble in groups of our choosing, to follow the religions of our choice, to vote as our conscience demands, to own and carry weapons, to start new businesses and make money, and to move about as we please -- these are values we hold dear and are reluctant to compromise.
