Professor to Speak at Gaming Conference

December 14, 2015

Political science Professor and gaming expert Paul Debole will speak at the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) winter conference in January in Florida.

The conference examines topical gaming issues of primary concern to legislators, and includes panel presentations that provide a variety of viewpoints.

Debole, who once served as a consultant to the gaming industry and has a deep knowledge of gaming regulation in Massachusetts, will appear on a panel discussing casinos titled "Saturation - at what point is too much?" where experts will discuss local vs. destination casinos and taxes and regulations that affect them.

The NCLGS meetings provide a vital forum to directly address legislators on issues that industry professionals find most relevant.

The NCLGS Foundation, the educational and research arm of NCLGS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, strives to educate lawmakers through scholarships to NCLGS meetings and is a source of nonpartisan data on issues of gaming legislation and regulation.
