Presidential Speaker Series Hosts Environmentalist Dan Ruben

Lasell will host a panel discussion on environmental policy and how it could influence the upcoming Presidential election featuring Dan Ruben on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

The event, part of the College’s Presidential Speaker Series, will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamel Visitor Center. Ruben is the founder and executive director of Boston Green Tourism which helps hotels “go green” by reducing energy, water, waste and toxins.

Previously, Ruben was executive director of the Coalition of Environmental Responsible Conventions (CERC), an organization that implemented environmental best practices at the 2004 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. He was also president of the Green Decade Coalition/Newton and is currently chairman of that nonprofit’s board.

Before working in the environmental sector, Ruben spent 17 years as a health care administrator with Harvard Community Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital.
