Members of Lasell’s Class of 2011 Carry the Torch

May 5, 2011

Following a Lasell tradition dating back more than a century, members of Lasell's Class of 2011 participated in the annual Torchlight Parade - which celebrates the graduation of the senior class.

The parade of students carried torches and marched from Central Parking Lot off Commonwealth Ave. to the historic Crow's Nest outside of the Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center on campus. The torchlight parade tradition began at Lasell in 1904.

Once arriving at the Crow's Nest, students listened to pre-graduation farewell speeches from their class officers and passed their torches on to an underclassman they believe will contribute to Lasell College. Following the parade students gathered for a Senior celebration in the newly dedicated Arnow Campus Center complete with food, drinks and entertainment.
