November 2, 2010

Massachusetts First Lady Diane Patrick visited Lasell Village earlier this week to discuss several issues important to her husband, Gov. Deval Patrick's, re-election campaign including health care and the economy.

Several dozen Village residents came out for the chance to greet Patrick and hear her speak about her husband's record, the budgetary choices he faced during his first term as governor, and the care and attention he took in making those decisions.

"For every cut he saw the human factor," she said.

Hoping to win over any "on the fence" voters, Patrick also spoke about highlights from the last four years including Massachusetts' ranking as "first in the nation for student achievement, growing jobs, and coming out of recession."

The day after Patrick's visit to the Village, her husband won his second term as governor of Massachusetts.
