Lasell's Project Dream Dress for Military Brides Covered by Boston Media

A student-led project that connected military brides-to-be to their dream wedding gown received TV, radio and print coverage by the Boston media. Project Dream Dress was conceived by Lasell fashion students after the Lasell Fashion Collection received a large donation of high-end designer bridal gowns. Lasell partnered with Brides Across America to connect military brides-to-be, who met the criteria, to the event, which took place at Goodwill Morgan Memorial Inc. in Boston on March 3, 2012.

Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
