Lasell's 158th Commencement is This Weekend

May 9, 2012

The giant tent is up on Taylor Field and, this weekend, Lasell College will graduate its largest undergraduate and graduate classes to date. The weekend will be full of memorable events including Baccalaureate and the Academic Achievement Awards on Saturday, May 12, followed by Commencement on Sunday, May 13.

The keynote speaker for commencement is 16-term Representative for the Fourth Congressional District of Massachusetts, Barney Frank. Frank announced last fall he will soon retire from his post.

More details about Commencement 2012 are available online.

As a new feature of commencement this year, members of the Lasell community will also have new options for viewing the ceremony. Under the large tent, Lasell will provide two large viewing screens for those attending the event and for those who cannot attend, Lasell will provide viewing access via the web.

Lasell has arranged for a Live Video Stream of commencement that will be accessible by the public online. The Live Video Stream will be made accessible through Adobe Connect. Starting at 11 am Sunday, May 13, the stream will be available to all.

President Alexander Responds to the Tragedy in Orlando  Thursday, June 16, 2016We the people of the United States cherish our freedoms. Whether it be the freedom to say what we want, to assemble in groups of our choosing, to follow the religions of our choice, to vote as our conscience demands, to own and carry weapons, to start new businesses and make money, and to move about as we please -- these are values we hold dear and are reluctant to compromise.
