Lasell Welcomes New, Returning Students for 2012-13 Academic Year

Over the Labor Day weekend Lasell College welcomed new and returning students to campus, which features several improvements including a renovated dining hall and a new residence hall. Classes resumed September 4th.

Students were greeted by multiple changes on campus including a transformed Valentine Dining Hall with a new menu, furniture and fixtures; the addition of a new residence hall - North Hall- which houses more than 100 students; and the Arnow Courtyard - a vast green space that creates a quad near the Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center and the Donahue Center for Creative and Applied Arts. The new dorm also features an underground parking garage.

The beginning of the new academic year also marks the largest incoming class in Lasell College history. The class of 2016 includes more than 600 new students; bringing the College's total enrollment to 1,600 undergraduates for the 2012-13 academic year. Classes resumed September 4th allowing students and the Lasell community the opportunity to explore the new and renovated spaces on campus.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
