Lasell Students Now See Live Wall St. Updates in Wolfe

Students coming back to campus this semester will notice a few additions to the Wolfe academic building, particularly if they are interested in the pulse of the economy.
Members of the Information Technology staff worked with Rise Display, to install a stock "ticker" display in the Business and Technology Lab and another in the Wolfe Lobby, an interactive touch plasma with profiles of faculty as well as Wall St. updates, and two additional plasma screens in Wolfe lobby to display general financial market information and Lasell Equities, which are "student managed" funds as part of current accounting and finance classes.
The IT Department is also working with faculty to pilot a trading simulation program from eSignal.
"The faculty are very excited about the additions and we hope the students are too," said Lasell CIO Deborah Gelch.
