Lasell Says Thank You Heads to NJ for Annual Service Trip

October 07, 2016

This weekend the student-led service group Lasell Says Thank You will send student volunteers to Holmdel, N.J. to participate in hurricane relief work with a local non-profit organization that supports victims of Hurricane Sandy, which ravaged the N.J. coast in 2012.

The students will leave October 7, meet representatives from the St. Bernard Project and be assigned to work groups completing projects that could vary from demolishing a storm-damaged house to painting and spackling an office.

"It depends on the need and what we can do in two days of work," said Hayley Kreckler, president of LSTY.

The trip has become an annual one for the group, which was created by now-alums Kevin Moloney, Ashley Clary, and Steven Saluti.

The group visiting New Jersey includes:
Sarah Richardson - Advisor
Jenna Bencivenga - Student Leader
Meagan Pariseau - Student Leader
Rebecca Llanes
Catriona Garry
