September 24, 2015

Classes have begun at Lasell's campus with a record-breaking number of students enrolled.

For the Fall semester, which began September 8, the College welcomed 1,810 undergraduate students, which represents a 5 percent rise over last year's enrollment and marks 17 years of steady growth in the number of undergraduates at Lasell. This increase also substantiates the College's recent honor in 2014 by The Chronicle of Higher Education Almanac as one of the nation's Fastest Growing Colleges 2002-12.

In addition, Lasell's graduate program saw an increase over the previous year in the number of new students enrolled and credits taken.

"We are excited about Lasell's continued growth which we attribute to the many benefits here at the College, including our new Core Curriculum and our educational philosophy that prepares students for the working world and success in their future careers," said Kathleen O'Connor, Vice President for Enrollment Management.

The College's first year and transfer students hail from 20 states and 14 different countries including Australia, China, Japan, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia to name a few.

This Fall the College was recently named among the top Regional Colleges - North and was recognized as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans by U.S. News and World Report.
