Lasell College and the RoseMary B. Fuss Center for Research on Aging and Intergenerational Studies hosted the Massachusetts Gerontology Association's Annual Fall Policy Forum Friday, October 15.
The forum brought together members of the MGA to discuss health care reform and Medicare, which was presented in a panel discussion.

"We rely on people who are interested in aging issues. Aging begins from the day we are conceived. As one of our speakers said, ‘Aging is a life-long process," said Sarita Bhalotra, MGA member who gave the closing address.

The group also mourned the loss of one of its members James Callahan, a former Brandeis professor and MGA member who died last week after a fall off a train platform in Newton.

The keynote speaker for the conference was Stuart Altman, former Dean and Professor of National Health Policy at Brandeis University. Altman currently serves as Chair of the Health Industry Forum. Other speakers during the event included Secretary of the Massachusetts executive office of Elder Affairs Ann Hartstein, President of LifePlans Inc.
