Lasell Fashion Students Rock the Runway

April 30, 2012

It takes almost a year for Lasell fashion design students to draw, source, sew, create and fit their senior collections all for one final shining moment - the annual Runway Fashion Show each spring.

The 2012 rendition of this event took place April 27-28 with the Undergraduate fashion show on Friday night, while the seniors showcased their collections in Runway 2012 on Saturday. Both shows were held in the Athletic Center. Twenty-eight seniors presented their collections in an event that also honored retiring Fashion Professor Joan Morris.

Now in its 23rd year, the event was produced almost entirely by fashion design, merchandizing and graphic design students who created the sets, runway and the fashions.

Contributing to the authentic, professional quality of the fashion shows, student models, dressers and hair and make-up assistants all work together as a team to ensure a high-level production.

Information is available online.
