Lasell Fashion Alum Wins Another Project Runway Challenge

As season 10 of Project Runway nears its completion, Lasell alum Sonjia Williams '07 remains as one of the show's top designers with a challenge win last night. Her winning baby outfit design is on sale today through Babies R Us.

Williams has had great success on the show winning several challenges throughout Season 10, which began in July with 16 contestants. With last night's win and another designer eliminated, Williams is among the top 5.

The challenge this week was to create a toddler outfit for the new children's wear line by Project Runway's Heidi Klum. Judges, which included new mom and actress Hillary Duff,  chose one boy outfit and one girl outfit  as winning designs. Williams created the boy outfit.

The outfit is available for sale online. Project Runway runs on Thursday evenigns at 9 pm on Lifetime TV.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
