Lasell Fashion Alum Wins Another Challenge on Project Runway

September 7, 2012

Lasell fashion alum Sonjia Williams '07, who is competing in Project Runway on Lifetime TV this season, won her second show challenge this week with a fall coat that wowed the judges.

In episode 8, which aired September 6, Williams was part of a three-designer team in the "Starving Artist Challenge." The teams were asked to sell goods they made to finance their fabric budget to create two cohesive looks for fall.

Williams made a short, tailored green coat that the judges, including guest judge fashion designer Anna Sui, loved.

The Lasell alum won her first challenge in episode 4 of the 10th Project Runway season required designers to create a garment that was wearable for the "Michael Kors woman" that can go from day to night. Guest judge actress Hayden Panetierre asked to wear Williams' design at a future red carpet event. Watch more on Sonjia Williams.
