Lasell Enrolls Record Number of Students this Fall

October 7, 2013

This fall, Lasell College has enrolled the largest number of students in its 162-year history with 1,667 undergraduates.

Over the past 15 years Lasell has seen steady increases in enrollment.

"Our strong roots in Connected Learning, which provide our students with a balance of theory and practice, combined with our broad program offerings, location, and long history make Lasell a wonderful choice for undergraduate and graduate students," said Vice President for Enrollment Management Kathleen O'Connor.

O'Connor also pointed out that the college will likely meet enrollment targets set as part of the Strategic Planning process by the 2017 target date. Vision 2017, the College's most recent strategic planning goals, set an 1,800 undergraduate enrollment goal by that year.

On the graduate level, Lasell will also likely reach its enrollment goal of 400, prior to the target date. Graduate enrollment has also increased with a 55 percent jump in the past year, O'Connor said.
