Lasell Designs Displayed at Third Annual Form to Fashion Contest

March 22, 2011

For the third year in a row, Lasell College fashion students will display their top designs in a college competition at the Natick Collection through March 28.

The contest, called Form to Fashion, involves student designers from Lasell, Mount Ida College, and Framingham State University, who will compete for a chance to showcase their winning garments in the Neiman Marcus display windows.

"We are thrilled to be involved in the competition again this year," said Lasell Fashion Professor and Department Chair Mary Ruppert-Stroescu.

Featured student designers from Lasell include: Emilie Boucher, Emily Brennan, Danielle Gilfillan, Gregory Hugill, Morgan Lagerberg, Christine Lam, Dena Leone, Samantha Marquis, Charles Neumann, and Kerith Seitsinger.

Shoppers at the Natick Collection are invited to participate in voting for their favorite student designer from the fashion programs involved.

In June, the top-rated looks from each school will be brought back to Natick Collection for a finale event, where the winning looks will be unveiled and prizes will be awarded.
