February 1, 2011

If you are near South Station sometime soon, do a little window shopping. Not for actual merchandise, but to see designs by Lasell students meant to brighten up a dreary winter downtown scene.

Peabody Office Furniture in Boston requested to use the Lasell designs for its showroom exterior windows in Boston after viewing similar works at the IIDA (International Interior Design Association) New England 2010 Fashion Show Benefit Gala design competition last fall. Lasell won the school competition.

With support from Lasell Professor Anne Vallely, three current students -- Charles Neumann, Amanda Saladino and Rheanna Oliver-Palanca -- plus alum Nara Paz '09, provided additionla nontextiles designs for the showroom windows. The designs will be on display through mid March.
