Lasell College Hosts Massachusetts Gerontology Association Forum

The Massachusetts Gerontology Association's 2013 Fall Policy Forum was hosted on the Lasell College campus October 11 by the College's RoseMary B. Fuss Center for Research on Aging and Intergenerational Studies. The focus of this year's conference is Fall Prevention: New Perspectives on Research, Policy and Practice.

Among the speakers at the event include: State Senator Richard T. Moore, NCOA Fall Prevention Hall of Fame 2011-2012, Holly Hackman, MD, MPH, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Douglas P. Kiel, MD, MPH, Director of Medical Research, Musculoskeletal Research Center, Hebrew SeniorLife, Suzanne G. Leveille, PHD, RN, Professor, Department of Nursing, UMass-Boston, MOBILIZE Boston Study.

The mission of MGA is to convene researchers, practitioners, and public policy makers in Massachusetts to create dialogue on critical issues related to aging and to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from academic research to day-to-day practice.

State Board of Higher Education Approves New Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice  Wednesday, December 17, 2014The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education has approved a new Master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Lasell that will offer students multiple concentrations in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Violence Prevention and Advocacy as well as a flexible Criminal Justice option. The online program launches in Fall 2015.
